Vegan Marzipan Spritz Biscuits

Hello cats and kittens!

It's Christmas time! And as a Stepford wife I of course have to bake 10 different kinds of cookies. I'm kidding but I did make some vegan Marzipan Spritzgebäck and I wanted to share the recipe.

You will need:

  • 200g Marzipan
  • 200g (vegan) Butter
  • 100g Sugar
  • 1 Egg (Substitute, in this case soy flour and water)
  • 4 drops Bitter Almond Extract (optional)
  • 100g Starch
  • 200g Flour
  • 1ts Baking Soda
For the egg subsitute I used 1 tbs of soy flour and 2 tbs of water, mixed them together until it's well combined. I did that first to get it out of the way.

Mix together butter, sugar and the "egg" until creamy. Cut the marzipan in small pieces and add it to the bowl. Mix well. I didn't chop the marzipan small enough and it was a hassle getting it evenly combined with the butter and sugar.

The original recipe calls for bitter almond extract but in the description they forget to add it, I guess it can't be that important then. If you happen to have it at home, add 4 drops now.

Add starch, flour and baking soda to the bowl and combine everything to a soft dough. It's a very soft dough because it has to go through a piping nozzle. I used a Kaiser 11mm star nozzle and that was way too small. Get a bigger one if possible.

Put about one third of the dough in a piping bag and pipe little rounds on some baking paper. Make them as evenly as possible if you want to fill them with jam like I did. Bake the cookies at 170°C ("air circulation" mode if your oven has that) and bake until light golden-ish around the edges.

Let them cool completely before you stick 2 of them together with jam (I used super fancy rose apricot jam) and dunk them into chocolate. This is optional, the cookies are damn yummy on their own.

Did you bake any cookies this year already? Tell me in the comments below!

Want of the day: Croissant Necklace

Hello cats and kittens!

Ages ago I came up with the idea of "want of the day" which is pretty self-explanatory: It's the thing I want most on that day. Never continued the series because I'm a bad blogger but lying in bed today I thought to myself: "That's a 5 minute blog entry, I might as well type it while my noodles are cooking."

So that's why I'm doing.

My want of the day is this croissant necklace from "La Boutique de Marie Antoinette".

I was scrolling trough twitter when I saw that Misako Aoik retweeted the following:
Maria Antonia, better known as Marie Antoinette, was originally from Austria and only "changed" her name when she got married to Louis XVI, King of France and Navarre. Apparently he was a prude and didn't want to dance the horizontal tango with Maria Antonia, which is why she asked her mother, Maria Theresia - Holy Roman Empress, Queen of Germany - for advice in the sack. As far as I know some of those letters are still in existence. Talk about awkward.

Anywho, I clicked on it because I'm quite the fan of Maria Antonia and found this amazingness which is the croissant necklace! Isn't it fantastic?! I think it is.

What's the weirdest thing you found on the internet lately? Tell me in the comments below!

Lolita Blog Carvinal: A Comfy Lolita Outfit

Hello Everyone!

I am very sorry that I am neglecting this blog :( Maybe it's because I take almost all my pics with my smartphone and typing on my phone is such a hassle. I do feel bad about it because I just saw that I reached 91 followers, which is pretty awesome. Thank you very much <3

So, on to the actual topic! It's another Friday, which means it's Blog Carnival Friday. WEEEH! Today I'm talking about comfy Lolita outfits. See, here is the thing: I'm lazy. Or maybe it's not laziness but the fact that I like being comfy so much. Jenna Marbles would say "I ain't got time fo dat!".

I don't have time for outfits that are not comfy. That's why I don't wear high heels (or very reluctantly), that's why I don't wear corsets, that's why ALL my co-ords are comfy.

Now, how to I do that? How do I make all my outfits so comfy? Here's a short list on how to comfy Lolita:

  1. Wear flats. Even uncomfortable flats are more comfortable than heels.
  2. Exchange your blouses for cut-sews. Once you go cut-sew, you never go back. Especially if you're big boobed like me.
  3. All the shirring all the way.
  4. Get dresses that look good without a petticoat (I wouldn't suggest to go to a meetup in such a dress but it's good enough for lounging around your house or tea with your friends).
  5. Stop caring about the fact that your hair is so straight and embrace it. Or more generally speaking, wear your hair open, in it's natural state.
  6. Find a small head bow that fits everything and doesn't give you a headache.
  7. Chose tights over socks (that's a personal preference tho since socks tend to leave the pattern imprinted on my legs after I wear them).
  8. Find a make-up routine that takes the littlest amount of effort to make you look cute. For me that's bb cream as concealer, mascara only on the top lashes and a little blush.
  9. Screw jewelry.
However, if you are going to a meet-up, just suck it up and feel a little discomfort for a while. Pretty hurts ;-)

What are your tips for a comfy Lolita outfit? Leave it in the comments below.

Angelic Pretty: Happy Ice Cream

It has been quite the journey, hasn't it?

Well... it all starts waaay back in the spring of 2009. Still in school, I just turned 20 when I stumble across the English Angelic Pretty web shop (this web shop doesn't exist any longer, they shut it down for whatever reason in 2014). Since I got some money for my birthday I decide to order directly from a Japanese brand shop for the very first time.

Happy me is very very happy with the Happy Ice Cream Headdress that I ordered. My fable for weird/ridiculous looking headdresses started early as you can see. At the time, as I was still in school, not working, studying for my a-levels, I only was able to buy the headdress and not the matching JSK, but since I was in fashion school, I thought it would be easy to sew something matching.

Oh boy was I wrong! This particular shade of blue was nowhere to be found. No where! Not in my hometown, not in Vienna, not online... not anywhere! After I gave up looking for a fabric with polka dots, I tried to get a uni-coloured fabric. Again, no luck at all. It's just a damn hard fabric to match!

A year passes, I finished school, I move out. The dress is still in the back of my mind, taunting me, when it suddenly pops up in the sales comm. 180$ plus shipping. Kinda expensive for a university student, who can only work on Saturdays. Since rent want's to be paid, I cry all the tears and don't buy it.

Two months later, it pops up in the sales comm again. Same seller, she lowered the price. It's a lot cheaper not with only 120$ plus shipping. I message her that I have to transfer money to my PayPal account. She is fine with that. The transfer takes unusually long. I message her again after it took a long week to get the money on my account. She writes me back. The dress in gone. She thought I lost interest since it took so long.

ALL THE TEARS! All of them...

Times goes by, the dress is nowhere to be found. If it shows up on auction sites it's the wrong colour. I am frustrated, thinking about selling the headdress but I love it too much and since I bought it, I only wore it out twice. I don't want to give away the first piece I ever ordered directly from a brand store before I've worn it properly.

Now it's 2014. All my friends are looking for the dress. Everybody knows to look for it when they're in Japan but it's like the earth opened up and swallowed all the dresses. Once it showed up in the Closet Child online store. That day I woke up to 4 different messages telling me the dress in online, just to find out it's the wrong colour again.

Oh well. After 5 years of looking for it, I was pretty convinced I was never going to own it. Out of pure desperation I even messaged a girl, if she would sell me the dress, because I saw on her blog that she had it but I never got an answer and I felt bad about harassing her too.

Then, out of nowhere, I see that I have a Facebook message from somebody I don't know. It's the girl from the blog, she wants to sell the dress to me! I can't believe what's going on, I suspicious to no end, check her Facebook, her LiveJournal feedback, everything I can get my hands on and it seems legit. She's not a lot on Facebook and the correspondence takes what seems like forever. Not for a second did I believe that I would actually get my dream dress.

Until it was delivered this morning.

And it is sooooo perfect! It's more perfect than anything else I own, it'seven better than I thought it would be. It's super fluffy, the built in petticoat is amazing, it pretty much renders an extra petticoat unnecessary, unless you want super fluff. The full body shirring makes it amazingly comfortable even for a big-boobed girl like me without turning you into the Michelin mascot.

I can't wait to wear it out. Tomorrow there's a meetup in Vienna but it might be too cold to wear it and that really breaks my heart.

To come to an end, this was the story how it took me 5 years to hunt down my dream dress. Don't ever give up!

What are you currently looking for? Are you searching for your dream dress too? Maybe even longer than me? Tell me in the comments below!

Lolita Blog Carnival: Picnic Outfit and Menu

Hello cats and kittens!

It's another Friday, which means, it's yet time again for a Lolita Blog Carnival entry! The challenge this week was to create and outfit and a menu for a picnic.

I love picnic! I really do. When you live in a big city like Vienna, it's nice to get away from all the noise and the cars and since I don't like hiking, picnics are a great way to spend some time in the park and enjoy nature.

For my outfit I choose my Angelic Pretty Ala Card Tea Time JSK, because it has a food theme, which is fitting for a picnic. I paired it with my blue chiffon blouse and some Metamorphose socks. It's simple and cute, that makes it a great outfit for a picnic because you want to be comfortable sittin on the floor.

The menu is what I like to call the grown-up cheat version of picnic food, meaning it contains alcohol, looks fancy but it's super easy to make.

Originally Hugo is a cocktail made of Prossecco, elderberry syrup, lime juice and mint leaves but I'm allergic to Prosecco which is why I make mine a little different. I use a mix of sparkling water and white wine. Depending on how much alcohol you want you use more or less wine, of course, or you just skip it all together and just serve elderberry soda ;-) How much elderberry syrup you add depends on how sweet your wine is and how sweet you want the Hugo to taste. I don't like mine too sweet, which is why I use only very little. The recommendation on the bottle is a ration of 7:1, meaning 7 parts water, 1 part syrup but that's way too sweet for my taste!

If you want to put almost no effort into the picnic, french rolls/brioch is a great option. You can buy the ready made brioche and fill it with Nutella, jam, fruits, plain old butter, whatever you like! It tastes yummy and your fingers won't get sticky! A great plus when you're outdoors.

To show off to your guest a little, buy some ready made puff pastry and get creative! I found a post on 9gag that shows how to cut and fold puff pastry into awesome looking little artworks and you can literally use any kind of filling: fruit, jams, cream cheese, chocolat, nutella, etc. And if you don't want to go for sweet, use vegetables and chesse as filling :D

Those little suckers are probably one of the fanciest thing you can serve and it's so easy to make! You only have to watch out and not burn it (and they don't burn easily ;-)). They taste absolutely amazing! You're going to feel like you're in a french restaurant, not sitting on a blanket in a park somewhere.

Last but not least, I included some cheese balls. The recipe is from YouTuber Ochikeron and I decided to make them shortly before I started filming. The original recipe calls for Shiratamako (glutinous lumpy rice flour) but I used whole grain rye flour, to make it seem a little more healthy ;-) You can eat them like they are and they are super delicious, crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside, but you could also cut them in the middle and fill them with cream cheese and salmon. That would be over the top fancy for a picnic!

I hope you liked my ideas for a picnic menu. What would you bring to a picnic? Tell me in the comments below! And please check out all the other participants of this weeks challenge:

Lolita Blog Carnival: 5 New Lolita Holidays

Hello cats and kittens!

WGT was shit, not gonna say more about it. Not now at least.

Today is another Lolita Blog Carnival Friday. It's been a while since I took part in it but I really liked the topic this week, which is "Invite 5 New Lolita Holidays"!

So here are my 5 new holidays:

  1. Bloomers Appreciation Day
  2. I love bloomers, so should you! I wear them even when it's super hot. I don't feel comfortable without them!

  3. Godmothers Day
  4. For all the girls putting so much effort into the comm., organizing Meet-ups and Parties and just doing everything that is possible, even going out of their way to make Lolita more known and popular.

  5. Old School Day aka Maxi Pad Headdress Day
  6. Because we all have to be glad that we don't have to wear Maxi Pads with ruffles on them on our heads.

  7. Under appreciated Brand Day
  8. For Metamorphose, Putumayo, h.Naoto and all the other brand, who don't get enough love.

  9. Macaron Day
  10. Free macarons. Nuff said.
Again, I also made a video about this topic. Feel free to check it out if you like!

Summer Lovin'

Good day everybody!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day! Little bit too hot for my taste but I like it cold. 25° C is too hot for me XD Anywho, I decided to meet up with the boyfriend on one of Vienna's many fake beaches along the Donau and wear out my "Candy Shower" JSK from Metamorphose.

I'm going to enter Metamorphose's Spring and Summer Coordinate Contest. It ends this Sunday (23:59, May 25th JST).

It was a fun afternoon, except for the part where a drunk groom to be told me his bachelors party dared him to either get a kiss on the cheek from me or money. Don't you just love dumb bachelors party games? I gave him the rest of the change I had in my wallet (40 cents XD)) and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon without interruptions.

Being the pale vampire that I am, I'm very glad that I have my parasol that protects me from the evil UV rays. During the summer, I don't leave the house without it. No sunburns is worth the stares and it's also really great to shield yourself from unwanted picture takers :D

What is your favourite way to stay cool or cool down in the summer heat? Tell me in the comments below!

I love gifs!

I love gifs.

That's just it. I love them. They make me happy and I can look at them for hours on end!

And I love making gifs out of my videos. That's just hilarious to me.

This is the most recent gif I made. Yes, I'm wearing a cape!

It's like laughing at my own joke but look at it! It's so funny!

The footage is from my latest video: Sweet Lolita Transformation (with a spin because I can't actually make serious videos XD))

Yes, I'm still working on my WGT outfits... but I'm not really making progress ;___; 14 days to go. Panic!

What are you up to? Doing anything special? Tell me in the comments below!

Dat Butt! Pillow...

Hello there!

Today was almost a productive day. I say almost because it took me all day to make something I could have finished in less than 3 hours but at least it's pretty!

I finished the first thing on my Checklist! The butt pillow:

In the late Victorian Era women stopped wearing the hoop skirts and the so called "cul de paris" and changed it to something more comfortable: the butt pillow! I don't know what it's actually called but I love the term butt pillow.

This is the unfinished version. I added some ruffles after I took that picture because a) it looks prettier, b) it gives a little more support and the skirt worn over it won't have a weird shape.

It's a very agreeable butt pillow, don't you think? I think it's really cute. I'm curious how it's going to look under the under skirt and the gown I'm going to wear. Hopefully it's not collapsing too much but with all that stuffing inside, I really doubt that.

What would you call this thing? Or do you even know the correct term for it? Tell me in the comments below!

Wave Gothic Treffen Countdown, Part 2

I told you the 2nd part would follow soon! If I was a super villain, I would be "Dr. Procrastinator". The worst super villain in the world ^-^

Anywhoooo... We were talking outfits! In yesterdays post I showed you my plans for 4 out of 8 outfits. Today we are covering the last 4.

  • Steampunk-ish-y Dirndl

  • This is the latest dress I've sewn. I'va had the fabric forever and never really knew what I wanted to do with it. At one point I was thinking about doing a jumpsuit. That would've been weird!

The pattern is from one of my Angelic Pretty JSKs, Toy Drops to be exact. It's a... what's it called... underbust with a removable frill, to make it into a normal cut neckline. Not that the underbust is actually UNDER my BUST. You wouldn't even be able to see my nipples.
Lotta boob talk going on, lately ^-^ sorry 'bout it!

  • Skull Royalty

  • I don't have any idea what's that going to be but I have this great headdress with a kitty skull and I want to look royal. That's the concept behind it.

  • Team WGT Ero Lolita

  • Stupid like I am, I promised the guys to make bloomers for all of us. ALL OF US! Oh well, at least it doesn't take that long. This is the logo it's going to feature.

  • Lazy Fake Leather Leggins

  • Because I don't know what else and one day I want to be comfortable! That seams fair enough, doesn't it? I put so much effort into these outfits, I can be lazy at least once.
So, now that I have a list with everything I want to wear, let's make a list with all the stuff I have to sew in 28 days (I wanted to add a really fancy widget here with boxes I can click but unfortunately Evernote won't let me to that):
butt pillow for the authentic Edwardian look
    underskirt
    undershirt
    Edwardian dress
    black blouse
    blue blouse
    change pants
I'm going to update you on my progress as often as possible because I'm going to force myself to blog whenever I feel like procrastinating and we already establishes how much I love doing that!

What do you love to do whenever you feel like wasting time? :D Tell me in the comments below!

Wave Gothic Treffen Countdown

I'm a horrible blogger, I know. Just don't mention it...

Time flies! I can not believe it's already May! This year I'm going to Leipzig for the WGT. It's going to be my first time. I actually wanted to go the first time in 2010 but when we decided to go, the flights or train tickets were already crazy expensive, 2011 I had my a-levels around that time, so I couldn't go either and the last two years I just didn't have the money to go ^-^

But this year I'm super excited! We are 6 people, 5 girls, 1 "Lolita in a construction workers body" (aka Eve Evangel from Lolita Komplex XD)) and we are renting a bus to drive from Vienna to Leipzig. It's going to be a 6-7 hour drive. Fun! Lolita party bus, never experienced that before.

Unfortunately I just today realized that it's only 29 days left... and I still have stuff to sew... like... a lot... FUUUUUUU!!!

Ok. *heavy breathing* 29 days left. I need at least 8 outfits. Let's see what I already have:

  • The Mad Hatter Pirate

  • I'm not sure yet if I want to go more towards Mad Hatter or more Pirate. But I love the Mad Hatter more and it's easier for me to do than a Pirate outfit. I'm going to have to change the pants and I want a different blouse to wear with it. Other than that, the outfit is pretty much done.
If I have the time, I want to make a headdress with a tea cup, that I can wear under my top hat but that's optional and I probably can live without it. Probably.
  • Extreme Ero Lolita

  • If there ever is a place to wear this outfit, it's at the WGT. If I have the time and really only if I have the time, I will sew a short sleeved version of this blouse because with long sleeves I will sweat to death... I wish my boobs would still look this good! Damn you gravity!

  • The Vampire Doll

  • I never got around to take a good picture of it but you get the idea. She is a mentally degraded vampire, carrying around the heart of her first lover. This outfit is done. Nothing more to add.
  • Edwardian Dress for the Victorian Picnic

  • Things I need to sew for this outfit: dress, underskirt and an undershirt. *le sigh* That's the biggest project I need to finish.
I'm gonna leave it at this because this is already a horribly long blog post. Part 2 is going to follow soon. I promise. Why can I promise that? Because I'm a great procrastinator!

Are you going to the WGT this year? Or are you planning any other Lolita vacations/ events where you need an outfit? Tell me in the comments below!

Lolita Blog Carnival: Things I Loli-fyed

Don't mention my absence, I'm perfectly aware of it. I've just been sick and crazy busy with job interviews and university and a whole bunch of other excuses ;-)

It's another Lolita Blog Carnival Friday and today's topic is "Things I loli-fyed". Since I am somewhat of a lifestyle Lolita, I made it a habit to get the most adorable version of the thing I need, for example, why would I get normal kitchen stuff if it could be pink? Right?

That's why I have a pink with white polka dots case for my kindle, a pink sparkly Hello Kitty bag for my old, ugly DS and Anglic Pretty stickers on my external harddrive ^-^

If you want to know more about all the stuff I loli-fyed, watch my video on the topic:

What are some things you loli-fyed in your life? Tell me in the comments below!

Day 8 – 10 songs that inspire you for lolita

I'm sorry but I have to rant about my computer for a minute.

I've been using Ubuntu for years now, I think I started with version 10.4"Lucid Lynx“ in 2010 and never had more than the usual view kinks that you just have to work with. Yesterday, after I updated to 13.10 "Saucy Salamander" a view weeks ago, all hell broke loose! Dropbox stopped working and I can't get it to run again. The dashboard broke and didn't show any applications even though I already fixed that. The keyboard switched from German to English just because to fuck with me.
Sooo many issues! I never had that many problems with Ubuntu and I can't go back to 12.04 or 12.10 without ripping my netbooks heart and soul out ;___; poor bebi!

Anywho, the next thing on my meme-list is "10 songs that inspire you for Lolita" and I'm sorry to disappoint you but songs don't really inspire me for Lolita. I need music to create but not to get dressed ^-^

However, I do have a special treat for you. My 2 good friends and I are going to see Depeche Mode this February and the Official Fan Club is putting together a slide-show of fan pictures, so we got together yesterday and got shooting :D

Keep in mind that my gimp-skills are very limited and, like I mentioned above, my computer is not cooperating with me right now but here you go! Our entry for the slide show:

Don't look at it too closely. I know every bit that is wrong with it but I don't have the skills or the patience to fix it. This is the original picture btw:

Looking at them side by side makes me cringe XD Oh well, it's fine, it's fine! With my skill set it turned out super.

What is the last concert you went to? Tell me in the comments below!

Day 7 – 10 people who inspire your lolita style

Good evening!

Today's topic is one that I already covered a view weeks ago but for the sake of totality I am writing this blog post, just to link you back to the one that already exists. So here you go, if you haven't already read it: people who inspire me.

I found an old picture yesterday. It's from 2011 and was taken while I was in Paris. I'm not sure I ever shared it here, even though it's pretty hilarious!

That was a real fun holiday! Talking about holidays. Did you already start planning what you want to do this year, holiday-wise? Tell me in the comments below!

Lolita Blog Carnival: 3 prints in your favourite colourway!

It's Friday and you know what that means! Lolita Blog Carnival! YAY

Today topic is 3 prints in your favourite colourway.

One of my favourite prints arrived just a few days ago. On Monday actally. It's Angelic Pretty's "Ala Carte Tea Time". I got the black colourway even though my favourite is the white one. It was cheap on Closet Child, who can say no to that?

My second favourite is also by Angelic Pretty. It's the Candy Treat print in white. I'm not a fan of the series at all. I think all the colourways are ugly, especially the black one (Sorry if you own the black one, personal tastes differ and that's a good thing! I bet you look lovely in the dress.) but the white one is special because it looks like it's been dipped in blood. I'm not the only one who made that association btw XD

Last but not least is from Baby the stars shine bright. I owned the dress before but had to sell it because it was too tight around the boobs :( It's Gingham Rose Ribbon in pink. Especially the one piece stole my heart and I want to bring it back into my closet where it belongs!

What are 3 of your favourite prints? Tell me in the comments below!

As always I made a video as well so feel free to check that out if you like!

Day 6 – 10 things you can’t live without in lolita

How does a true Lolita know what day it is? It's the day after Closet Child update but it's not a weekend so it must be Thursday. Yeah, that actually went trough my mind this morning.

Today's topic could kind of be an instructional post for beginners. 10 things you should have because you can't live without them or something like that. Uh-huh. Sounds good.

  1. A good petticoat! Without a good base, you might as well don't wear it at all.
  2. Bloomers. I don't feel comfortable leaving the house without Bloomers on or even walking around my house XD
  3. The bestestes hairspray ever. Ever ever! It's the Forever Aloe Pro Set hair spray. It's a little on the expensive side, that's why I only use it on special occasions but it's so good! It holds curls like nothing else and your hair still feels soft. SO GOOD!

  4. Diamond lashes. I'm a little obsessed with diamond lashes. I currently have... 5 or 6 packages and still think that's not enough!
  5. For the winter: thermal underwear because it is getting damn cold outside. Not this winter but in general, of course ^-^
  6. For the summer: a parasol and fashionable fans.
  7. The 2nd hand market. Imagine Lolita without the 2nd hand market. Dresses, once sold out, forever lost and unreachable. What a nightmare!
  8. Wigs because sometimes I just don't feel like putting any effort into my hair.
  9. Bow clips for when you need to add that extra oomph!
  10. That bralette thing that shrinks my boobs. It's horrible, gives no support, no nice shape, practically useless unless I want to go down a cup size. It will do that!
Well, those are my 10 things I can't and don't want to live without. Leave me your list in the comments below! You know, I love reading comments :D

Lolita Wardrobe Post 2014

Hey-ho!

We are skipping one day of the challenge to take a look at my wardrobe ^-^ Like last year I made a video, showcasing what's currently in my closet. It was a lot of work! It took me about 5 hours of filming and another 9 hours to edit. And it almost made me throw up... you will see why!

Let me tell you something! I started with the head dresses. Sitting on my office chair I put on one alice band after another and I span round and round and round in the same direction and after the 5th bow change I had to get up and lay on the floor because I almost vomited all over myself XD AND I WASN'T EVEN HALF DONE!... Originally I planned on filming all in one take but I had to space it out to two days because after I forced myself to finish up the dresses I was so done.

Filming the socks felt like a work-out. I was lying on my back for 40 minutes and hold my feet in the air. That can get really exhausting after a while ^-^

Did you do a wardrobe post/video this year? Leave me the link in the comments below. I would love to see it. And as a bonus jonas a gif of my awkward dancing!

Day 5 – 10 items from your wishlist

Yes, I know. Let's not talk about it...

Todays topic is 10 items from your wishlist and I already told you that I don't like to make wishlists because it jinxes things. However for the sake of this meme I will list some things I would like to own in the future...

  1. more blouses just in general because I don't have enough :(
  2. AatP - Dance of the black Cats JSK because I own the matching necklace
  3. AP - Happy (DAMN) Ice Cream... I've been looking for this dress forever -.-
  4. rings I actually like to wear
  5. the "brandwhore" necklace from Deerstalker Pictures

  6. all the dresses from Kamikaze Girls because, let's be honest, every Lolita wants a piece of that!
  7. a winter coat that fits me and is actually warm enough for Austrian winters
  8. Vivienne Westwood. Nuff said.
  9. a nice off white rose crown, like the one my friend borrowed my for the IW tea party. really should have kept that... -.-
  10. the white version of Ala Carte Tea Time JSK

I love how this GIF loops so perfectly! AWW YISSS!!

Currently I'm filming my wardrobe video for this year and I had this idea, that I want to spin. Unfortunately spinning makes me really sick. I almost threw up several times during filming. Not fun. But the video looks really good, so totally worth it <3 It will be up on Wednesday and I will post it here for everyone to see. YAY!

Day 4 – 10 different kinds of food you like

Good evening Maladies! Todays topic seems a little weird. 10 kinds of food I like? Well ok.

  1. Lasagna is my ultimate comfort food. I try not have it too often because it makes you jiggle
  2. Any kind of salad really
  3. Italian... give me all the carbohydrates
  4. Fancy cinnamon chocolate
  5. I just recently found a liking in Pho, really yummy!
  6. Sushi but good sushi
  7. All the cookies! No matter what kind but they have to be home made
  8. Cauliflower curry, combines my two favourite things: cauliflower and curry
  9. Tofu with mixed vegetables and soy sauce
  10. CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE! Actually I'm not that big of a fan of cake, I just want to show off my baking skills...

What did you have for lunch today and what do you consider the ultimate Lolita food? Tell me in the comments below!

Days 3 - 10 things you hate in lolita

Happy Wednesday, everybody. Innocent World started its winter sale and I just want all stuff! ^.^

No matter how much you love Lolita, there are downsides to it too, of course there are and today we are concentrating on the 10 things that I hate in Lolita:

  1. Shipping costs. How can an 1,5kg package, containing magazines, cost 6850 yen (48€ at the current rate)?
  2. Brands that refuse to translate their page into English or to even ship overseas even though they know how many overseas costumers they have.
  3. The fact that I hardly fit into brand blouses.
  4. Shoe size 41. Nuff said.
  5. Petticoats and how uncomfortable they can get.
  6. All the layers in the summer...
  7. Your dream dress that just refuses to show up anywhere. Not in the sales comm. Not in any of the 2nd hand stores.
  8. Friends you never see because they live all over the world.
  9. How long it takes me to get ready.
  10. That no closet is ever big enough... and I'm talking about the actual furniture piece and Lolita collections.
And because I don't want to end this entry on a negative note, here is a picture of my new Vivienne Westwood Melissa pumps, that my boyfriend got me for christmas, because he is the best boyfriend ever!

Day 2 – 10 things you love in Lolita

Haha... already almost missed the 2nd day XD it's not even funny anymore.

Today was a bit hectic tho. I tried to find something to spin on for my next video, so I drove out to IKEA (it takes and hour and you need to take a shuttle bus, not fun) and they didn't have the 2 main pieces I wanted to have because of some wrong information in the system. WOOHOO! That's how to successfully waste 3 hours.

Today's topic: "Things you love in Lolita". I'm only allowed to name 10 things but believe me there are so many more. Let's start with something really cheesy, yes?

  1. I love the friendships Lolita created. But you know that already ^.^
  2. the details... on my, the details!
  3. ridiculously big headdresses

  4. the fact that I bloomers make great PJ bottoms
  5. shoes with bows... TO DYE FOR!
  6. one dress, so many different outfits
  7. you still look good in a OP even if you don't put a lot of effort into it
  8. knocking over things with your petticoat on tables with annoying people :P (if your child is throwing buttered rolls, I will do this on purpose)
  9. fake lashes
  10. the fact that opening a package with a new dress in it feels like Christmas and Birthday together :D
Oh, I could name so many more things! What are some of your favourite things about Lolita? Tell me in the comments below!

Day 1 – 10 things about your lolita bubble.

UUUUUGGGGHHHH!!! I don't want toooooo! *cough cough*

I'm still sick, no surprise there. The headache is manageable, I'm not longer a snot monster but a nasty cough has set in. It's a really bad old man cough and my voice sounds accordingly. Meh!

But I promised myself that I would force myself to get this blog back on track and now I need to do this! Pull it together, Mimi, be the grown up you pretend to be!

So here we go, 30 Days Lolita Meme - Day 1!

  1. I own at least one black and one pink dress of every bigger brand (BtSsb, AP, IW, Metamorphose ^-^). I guess that's because I will never be able to go just sweet or just gothic/classic.
  2. I own bloomers for every day of the week.
  3. I'm super lazy with accessories and if I don't go to a meet-up or something, I will probably even skip the hair accessories.
  4. The majority of my blouses are handmade because my boobage doesn't fit into most blouses, no matter if European or Japanese.
  5. Sometimes I get too excited about getting new stuff and that is how pictures like this originate. no shame.

  6. Lolita became a part of my life and I can't image that I would ever not wear it.
  7. Even though I cherish my dresses like nothing else, I put them all in the washer. Until now, nothing went wrong!
  8. Lolita meet-ups always make me realize how bad I am at socializing. Just... so awkward!
  9. I love Metamorphose for how quirky they are and want all the strange things they produce!
  10. Through Lolita I met all of my best friends because Lolitas are better people than the usual pulp XD I'm joking, but seriously, Ladies you know who you are. I love you!
Does any of this apply to you? Tell me in the comments below! See you tomorrow.

2014, let's do this!

HEY-OOOOH!

It's 2014! Already 5 days in. I actually wanted to start out with a juice cleanse. That didn't work out XD On the 2nd day I broke because I had migraines from hell. Now I'm sick, the whole program with snot, throat pain, sweating and shivers. Not cool. And I'm the worst sick person there is. I like to complain a lot and just shower myself with pity. Luckily you are not the ones having to listen to it, my boyfriend has to and he hates it XD You are not getting away this time, honey buns, NEVER! MUHARHAR

Anywhooo... This year I actually have resolutions for the new year. Normally I avoid them like the devil avoids holy water. It just jinxes things... yes, I am extremely superstitious. That's why I don't have a Lolita dream dress list. I feel like once I put out that I want that dress, it's disappearing from the face of the earth, never to be found again.
Getting off track again. So, I have resolutions! I want to blog more, and I'm doing that right now, so that's a good start. I want to loose the arm jiggle and I already used the weights (guys... I bought weights... I shamed the my inner lazy person) that I bought, feeling good about that too. My Lolita closet has to grow, I need to stock up on blouses and cardigans and since I want to sew more too I'm gonna combine those two! Logical, right? Already bought some fabric because I want to make a new petticoat. That's long overdue.
What else, what else? Oh yes, I want to take more pictures of my outfits. Last year I bought this awesome DSLR camera and I never use it (that's not true, I use my Adelheid all the time). I'm not going to show you my OOTD today because I'm in my Batman PJs... or maybe I will. You know, that I am just kooky enough to do so.

Last but not least, to kick off the new year I want to do the 30 Day Lolita Meme again. This meme was popular 2 years ago and back then I did it on my original blog. Unfortunately it got lost when my blog was hacked and deleted. I always regretted that it didn't exist anymore. So I'm doing it again and you can't stop me :D Not doing the first day today, super tired from typing this. I'm still freaking sick. Blergh.

Also, those are my PJs ^-^

Lolita Blog Carnival: 2014 Trends You Predict

What? Is it already 2014? The hell happened?

Oh yeah... life... life happened! XD

It's the first Friday of the year and today's Lolita Blog Carnival theme is: Trends you predict for 2014. I don't think I have a talent for predicting trends so I'm going to make it as ridiculous as possible because what else would you do with with something like that? ^-^

  • Angelic Pretty will come out with another Chandelier print and this time there is going to be a matching battery run Head Dress, which you can light up, if you like to
  • After they did all the popular fairy tales, some of them even more than once (Red Riding Hood), Baby the Stars shine bright will continue with stories that are lesser known like "The Story of the Youth Who Went Forth to Learn What Fear Was"
  • To continue the trend Alice and the Pirates will come out with a dress called "Merry Making Royal Crown Graveyard Tea Party"
  • Metamorphose will complete their house hold series of "Bubble Bath" and "Sewing Lesson" with a simple, but elegant "Cuddles The Cleaning Bunny" print - it will include leather sleeves
  • Moi-même-Moitié... Gate something something (that's just too easy)
  • Putuketchup will still not matter in 2014... (I don't know why tho, they come out with some really nice stuff!)
  • ... and Mister Yan will kidnap Venus Angelic, her mother will sell the movie rights and the Lolita community will eat caramel popcorn while streaming the train wreck
This was a lot of tun! And all of them seem at least a little bit possible, don't you think? ^-^ Tell me your trend predictions in the comments below!
