What to do in 5 spare hours

Do you know what's "all the rage" at the moment? Collars.

Do you know what I made today? A Collar.

It took me 5 freaking hours to embroider all the pearls on the collar by hand. Mostly because I'm slow and the point on the needle was dull ^-^ but it was worth the time. I really like how it turned out though I really hope I don't have to make one again ;-)

Do you like collars like that? Have you made one yourself? Tell me in the comments below!

Brunch at Café Latte ♥

Well hello there ^-^

I just came home from the most delicious Brunch (aw man, I love Brunch!) and a friend of mine asked me to review the restaurant because finding the right place isn't always easy. I'm sorry if this is boring for my readers outside from Vienna but if you ever find yourself in Vienna, on a Saturday or Sunday, you could go have some yummy Brunch.

We went to a place called Café Latte, they have two branches in Vienna, we tested the one in the Neubaugasse. I mailed them on Monday - a week beforehand - that we need a table for 2, on Sunday at 11 in the non-smoking area. They tell you on the homepage that your request should be as detailed as possible to make the transaction easier on both sides. They also tell you that it might take up to 24 hours for them to reply (because the are popular as hell!)

The restaurant itself is small but very welcoming. We felt perfectly comfortable even though our table was in an unfortunate spot. We were sitting right across the guy who managed the tables and it was always busy around us. Like I said, the place is pretty small and you kinda have to squeeze around the buffet table, especially if there is a very nice but overweight lady in front of you ^-^

The buffet itself was soooo good! SOOO good! They had rolls and slices of bread, cheese, prosciutto, meat spread, beef tartare and another 3 different kind of meaty things to put on your bread/roll. One was some kind of salami, one was cold cuts and the 3rd was ham but because I rarely eat meat, you can't hold me accountable for that. I don't know my meats :-P
For those who like sweet breakfast they served the usual: different jams, honey and Nutella. You could choose between butter and margarine, which is always nice and if you didn't want to eat a sandwich, you could eat one of the 4 different kind of cereal they have, either with milk or strawberry-yogurt. My absolute highlight were the croissants. I am very picky when it comes to croissants because once you go French, you never go back ^-~ but these croissants where perfect! They were buttery and soft and crunchy... just perfect!

Besides all the breakfasty-goods they had 6 different kind of salad: plain green salad, greek salad with tomato, cucumber and feta cheese, carrot-orange salad, plain tomato salad, pasta salad and tomato-corn salad. The greek salad was really good. I don't care for pasta salad but it was surprisingly good as well.

After all that I hardly had any space left for the lunch-part of the meal but I tried a little of the fish and the vegetarian option, which was spinach-ricotta-tortellini. Both were exceptionally tasty. The Boyfriend had some of the meat balls and like them as well. They had 2 other kind of meaty dishes but I can't remember what they were but I'm sure they were delicious as well. For the side dishes they had backed potatoes, rise and wok vegetables. Over all a good amount of lunch-dishes to choose from.

For deserts the buffet offered panna cotta, some kind of really moist, delicious cake and pieces of cheesecake and they had some fresh cut up fruit as well. The pineapple was the best I had in a long time! Besides pineapple they served some rockmelon and grapes too, the melon was cut into bite-sized pieces and the grape strands were cut so you only had 2 or 3 grapes on one piece at the time.

The all-you-can-eat brunch-buffet was €11,90 per person and over all I give the place 4 out of 5 stars, the food 4,5 out of 5 and the service 3,5 out of 5. The waitress was a little grumpy and I wish they had more options for vegetarians but I would definitively visit it again!

I hope this was at least a little helpful from my friends from Vienna or anybody who visits Vienna and wants a nice brunch. I'm sorry I didn't take more pictures but I somehow got lost eating... sorry!

Outfit of the day:
Skirt: Blutsgeschwister
Cardigan, Overknees: H&M

Point of fashion: feeling warm and comfy for a brunch-date

Welcome to the Circus!

Well that's awkward ^^

I have been on a blogging break for the last months because of reasons but now I have these awesome pictures of me and I want to share them!

So, the Saturday before Halloween my friends hosted a Party and one of my friends owns an Aerial Hoop, also called Lyra. It's a hoop about the size of a hula hoop, made from steel and it hangs from the ceiling. You may have already seen it in a circus. I suck at it ^^ I'm the least sporty person EVAR and it didn't surprise me at all, that I didn't even get into the hoop without a lot of help XD Anyhow, I somehow got into the hoop (magic was involved) and that is what it looks like.

I also made a slide show, simply to save some space. I left out the picture above because all the other pictures are portrait format and including one landscape format picture into a slide show with 7 other portrait format pictures seemed stupid.

And I made a video about my outfit ^^

I hope you liked all of this. Have a nice day!

Project Rorschach Preview

Hello!

How are you?

So, as you may know, last Saturday I presented my newest collection "Project Rorschach". Unfortunately we weren't able to take good pictures but since I plan on having a professional photo shoot anyway, it's not too bad.

Anyhow, I took some very crappy pictures, put the into a slideshow and called it "preview" :D I hope you like it!

LACE OVERLOAD!

I ordered "some" lace. 1.7 kilo, 185 meters to be exact.

huge package, about double the size of a shoe box

pile of lace... *faint*

I'm going to write a review on the taobao shop where I ordered the lace and on the shopping service I used later. I'm in the middle of work and just take a little break :)

Moon Kana

Goodday my dear readers. Today I write for you from my bathtub because it's freakishly hot in our house and I need to cool down... also the WiFi connection is better in the bathroom than in my room ;)

Yesterday I visited the Made in Japan, a lovely little convention, my favourite actually because it's so small and relatively creep-free. And they are really trying hard to please the visitors with the program, for instance, they made it possible, that Moon Kana visited Austria for the first time! Yes, for the first time. No other convention was able to pull that off.

Moon Kana is the cutest little Japanese singer. Her music is... special ^^ I have no idea how to describe it. It's very "kawaii" and filled with bunnies (usagi) and cats (neko). Once stuck in your head, you will never get rid of it again! I made a playlist for you. It only contains 4 songs. I can't really remember what songs she sang. Not too many but she was very interactive and answered a lot of questions.

This dress is so short... sooooo short... Ö___Ö holy moley! But to be fair, Dani, who took the picture (thanks), was sitting down and the camera angle is probably not the best.
In the background you can see a Loki cosplay, which turned out to be a very androgynous girl. I suspected it but I didn't know for sure until my friend came back from the toilet and said: "That awkward moment when you are washing your hands and Loki comes out of one of the stalls and reapplies her makeup!" We had so much fun yesterday :D

How was your weekend? How hot is it where you live? I got a heat rash yesterday, that's how hot it is :(

Friday Favourites Fail

Awww... maaaaaan...

Mara from "Fashion Fairytales And Sewing Secrets" does this thing called "Friday Favourites" and I wanted to start that too, because I think it's a nice idea and a schedule is helpful if you want to blog on a regular basis. But every darn Saturday I remember that, once again, I missed it!

To be fair, yesterday I was sure it was either Thursday or Saturday but under no circumstances Friday XD

So here is my Friday Favourites Fail:

Hot pink nail polish. It looks less obnoxious then you would expect, it actually looks really cute. I'm in love with this colour, it looks so fun ^^ This is 027 Pink Obsession by gosh. I only bought it because my local drugstore had this 3 for 2 sale and I grabbed it at the checkout to have 3 products ^^ And for once I'm glad I grabbed something at the checkout!

And since this is a Fail "Friday Favourites" entry, I only have one favourite item :/ I could tell you about my foot-mask and that it makes my feet super soft but I don't think you want that ;) oh gawd, was that TMI? I'm sorry!

Anywho, I hope you have a nice weekend. What is one favourite item of yours at the moment? Tell me in the comments below!

Lashy Goodness!

muharhar... MUHARHAR... MUHARHAR!!!

That's my "Oh my god, I got so many lashes, I can't wait to glue them all on!!" - laugh ^^

Guise, I got so many great lashes in the mail today. My friend Nora, who is currently in Japan, was nice enough to send me some *faint* I asked her if she could get me some because I will need them for the fashion show. They look amazing! I didn't give Nora any directions so she did an extra good job picking out the bestestes lashes :D

What was the last thing that made you freaking excited as hell? Tell me in the comments below!

bling bling bling

Goodday! (<== I wrote that on purpose because that's how I scream it trough the house whenever I get home :D))

As for now, there are 4 weeks left until the fashion show and I have an crazy amount of work to do. But sometimes I just don't feel like it. Happens to the best of us. Well, but because I can't do nothing a whole day long, I decided to at least work on some jewellery.

I'm still in my "Nightmare before Christmas"-PJs, don't judge me, it wasn't even 9am jet XD Besides the fact that I should obviously be a hand model (just kidding), I really like this ring-bracelet combi. It's simple and playful at the same time. It's also not as distracting as you might think it is. I made another ring-bracelet, similar to this one, I wore them both to see if I could work with them and it wasn't a problem at all. I mean, I wouldn't cook with them but other than that I don't see any problems. Maybe driving but I wore the long, dangly one on my left hand, so it can't possible interfere with the stick.

I can't wait to wear it to a Gothic Lolita outfit. What do you think? Do you like it? I know, a lot of you are wearing Sweet Lolita and this is probably not appealing to you but what do you think anyways? Tell me in the comments below!

I went into the woods

Hello!

Today I did something that I never do. I went outside and experienced Nature! (DUN DUN DUUUUN!!!) It was horrifying... no, it was actually quite fun ^^ The Boyfriend thought it would be nice to have a picnic, so we packed up enough food for about 10 people and went outside. In my hometown, Eisenstadt, we have a really lovely park, the former castle ground of the prince Esterhazy. It's really pretty and if you walk deeper into the park, there are some nice shadowy glades, which are perfect for a picnic.

We had some sammiches, fruit salad, normal salad, muesli bars, chocolate bars, bananas, bell peppers, nut stollen... yeah, like I said, enough for 10 people ^^ I'm glad the boyfriend "eats like a horse" (I'm so sorry Schatzi, that's the English equivalent for "Scheunendrescher" :/)

The boyfriend looks so tan next to me. It's amazing... especially because I got some sun and, at the moment, I'm tan for my standards.

And then, this bitchy red ant decided to attack me -.-

You can't even see it but it itched like crazy! I'm used to itchy because of the super awesome rashes I have all the time but that was something else. It really hurt :(

Fortunately chocolate can heal almost anything and after some bites of creamy deliciousness it was all good again. YAY!

What did you do this Sunday? Anything fun? Tell me in the comments below.

Outfit of the Day: in case you ever wondered

Good Afternoon Sirs!

I'm about to drive to the boyfriend, we want to watch Alien and I thought I show you what I look like, in the rare case that I'm not wearing Lolita (or Jeans and a Band-shirt ^-^).

To be honest, I don't feel that comfortable in this dress because I'm showing so much skin and I can't wear bloomers under it. It's also not the most flattering dress for my body shape but the material feels very soft and cooling.

What do you like to wear in the summer to stay cool? Tell me in the comments below!

Oh yeah - more circle lenses!

Do you know what the hardest part about blogging is for me? Finding a good way to start the entry. I could spend hours thinking about it...

Anyhow, I ordered a new pair of circle lenses ^-^ The thing is, the last pair I ordered was quite dark and whenever my pupils widened (you see, my pupils think it's funny to make me look stoned from time to time), my eyes turned black. You couldn't see any of the colour and I didn't like how it looked.

So I ordered a pair of blue ones and they are amazing!

This are the ColourVUE Big Eye in Cool Blue. The colour is stunning. I'm in love with it. They have a diameter of 15mm. That's really big, I thought I wouldn't get them in ^^ I think they look pretty "natural", at least better than my other pair. I'm going to test them on the boyfriend today. He really doesn't like my Dolly Grey lenses and if he doesn't notice the new ones right away, it means that they do look less like lenses :D

What do you think of the lenses? Do you like the colour? Do you think they look super fake? I would love to hear your opinion on it!

How to fake short hair

Hello Ladies!

My hair at the moment is a little too long for my liking but I can't get myself to go to the hairdresser because, really, I dislike doing that so much ;D Hairdresser are scary! They can totally change the way you look and if you don't like it, you have to deal with it for as long as your hair needs to grow. For me that's about 3 month :/

So, I want my hair shorter but I don't want to cut it. What can I do about that? I can fake short hair! YAY

I don't want to say I curled my hair, because all I did was put 7 hair rollers in and it didn't even look good, just messy but that's perfect for the look. So, with pre-curled hair, I take two strands from the front and cross them on the back of my head. I secure it with one bobby pin where the two strands meet. That's the hard part. Now for the easy one. Part the rest of the hair in the middle, grab one side and roll it up against your head. Take some bobby pins and secure it. I took 2 for each side, so 4 all together. Repeat with the other side. That's all. If you want you can use some hairspray. Or a lot ^^ That's what I did!

It's simple, it looks cute and it gets my hair out of my sweaty neck. That's what makes it the perfect hair do for the summer :D

As always, if you have any questions or requests for hair tutorials, feel free to leave me a comment! Have a nice day!

Outfit Of The Day - hothothot

It's sooo hot... *melt*... it has 32°C at the moment and I had to pick up my little brother from daycare. I sure as hell don't want to leave the house but if I have to, not without my parasol!

Dress: Innocent World
Umbrella: Baby, the Stars shine bright
Shoes: Paladium

My little bro was so cute today. We were walking home and he said: "I'm glad there are at least some shadows" and as I replied, that I'm carrying around my own mobile shadow, he looked at me like I was the greatest nutjob he ever met ^^ He was polite enough to say nothing but his face said it all. He would rather melt than carry a pink parasol with ruffles and lace on it with him :D

I hope you are not melting and work at a place with air conditioning that's not too cold. Have a nice day!

Rorscull

Wooh... let me... let me just sit down for a minute or two...

okay...

So, I'm currently sitting in my kitchen, eating breakfast and watching Stargate because that's how I like to start my day ^^ While waiting for the water kettle to boil my water (it's sooo lame, you have no idea!) I thought, why not blog about my "work" a little? That's why I went upstairs to my room to get my camera and now, back in the kitchen, I feel exhausted... *caugh*... yeah, I'm still sick.

Now, not only do I absolutely dislike being sick, it actually started to make me worry if I will finish my work in time. I haven't talked about it yet but the Gothic Lolitas Austria (we are an official club, that's how cool we are :D) have been asked if we wanted to organize a fashion show at a convention on July 21st. Of course we want! Sounds awesome! I decided that it would be a great opportunity to show "the world" my new collection, inspired by Rorschach tests.

Being sick and feeling drained all the time I couldn't do much in the last few days but yesterday I was able to print the first print. It's my "Rorscull" ^^

It looked awesome! Unfortunately it's too high up on the skirt part so I had to do it again. And then this happened:

Too much water in the paint-water-mixture -.- Well, not to worry. A friend on Facebook messaged me, she wants that on a t-shirt, so it won't get to waste. WOOH! Great! But I still needed a skirt part with the Rorscull on it, preferable in the right spot, too. So I tried again:

What is earth? How did that happen? I don't even know. I'm doing a very unprofessional screen print method, so I have a stencil and something like that just shouldn't happen.

But it will work. Maybe I try it for a last time but that will have to wait. Now I have to put inkblots on sleeves ^^ Heck yeah!

I hope you are having a nice day! Enjoy your weekend and don't get sick!

How to be sick... in Lolita ^^

Hello La... *cough cough sneeze cough*

I'm sick. I got in the rain on Friday and since Saturday I feel like crap. My joints hurt (especially my knees), I'm sneezing and coughing all the time and no painkiller on earth can stop those headaches. Today I went down to the kitchen (my room is on the first floor and the kitchen beneath it) to get a glass of orange juice and when I reached the kitchen I felt like there was no way in hell, that I would ever be able to go up the stairs again XD

There is nothing worse than being sick and I'm really bad at it. I transform into this whiny lump and all I do is yammer about how I'm dying a very slowly and painful death. I hate being sick.

Unless... unless I take this badass cough syrup that makes me feel all light and soft inside. My body reacts funnily to any kind of pain medication. This cough syrup additionally contains alcohol. Half a tablespoon of this syrup and I'm the happiest person on earth, I'm positively stoned and feel like a pink fluffy unicorn dancing on rainbows XD I try to avoid it though. It makes me weird.

Though I still feel incredible weak, I'm constantly getting better. I have no idea how to be sick in Lolita. There is really nothing cute about it.

not only do I look like shit but also pregnant -.- great

What do you do when you are sick? Well, other than sleep a lot. I love to watch old SciFi movies and eat the bestestes soup of the world (<== my Mom makes the bestestes "get well soon"-soup!).

I lied!

I just came home from a vernissage. Our neighbors opened the smallest museum in Austria. It's about 4m² big... yeah, it's really small!

My neighbors, of course, know that I'm a "designer" and what I do. Their daughter is amazed that I run around like I do. She thinks it's impressive that I just don't give a damn about what people think and that I keep running around in those dresses.

And the whole evening she was telling the people that I sewed the dress I was wearing... I didn't...

I lied! That's my "I lied" face ^^ Pretty accurate, don't you think?

Anyhow, I was wearing Angelic Pretty today but when she started telling the people, that my dress was handmade, I thought, was difference does it really make? None what so ever. I will probably never meet any of those people again and I doubt that they will find out about Angelic Pretty. I regret nothing XD

What would you have done in my situation? Tell me in the comments below!

Zooanimals

Hello Ladies,

so yesterday I was in Vienna. I actually did nothing special, the boyfriend needed some help with picking out a jean, then we went home to watch "Star Trek Voyager" and ate cheese ^^ Sounds boring but I enjoy it so much. It's just relaxing and I needed to relax after what happened to me on the subway -.-

The Viennese subways have glass walls left and right to the doors and behind the glass walls are seats facing the inside of the train. I got on the subway, minding my own business, writing a message on my phone but when I looked up, there was a woman sitting behind one of those glass walls, holding up her phone (she held it next to the glass wall so she would get a better view) in my direction to take a picture. Normally I look at those people with disgust and disrespect and shake my head to make them feel ashamed but the outrageously bold way this woman took a picture made me walk over to her.

"Do I look like a zoo animal to you?"
She looked at me puzzled.
"Do I look like a rare zoo animal to you that you feel the need to take a picture of me?"
She still refused to answer me.
"Would you please delete that picture you made. It's illegal to take pictures of random strangers without their permission, you know?"

Before she could answer me the train stopped in my station and I had to get off. People are so rude. I would never even think about taking a picture of a stranger. Maybe if Iron Man stepped on the train... but he would strike a pose for me before he hacked my phone to delete the picture ^^
To be fair, I looked quite awesome yesterday ;) I understand why she would want some of the awesome and photos "last longer" (<== Bubbles DeVeres catch phrase).

Dress, Socks, Bag: Angelic Pretty
Shoes: An*tai*na
Shades: H&M

I love those shades but it really bothers me that I don't have matching shoes to this outfit. That's why I will probably sell it soon. Message me if you are interested. I also have matching jewelery and a cardigan that I would give away XD

Hopefully you are having a great week so far. Tell me your "rude people take pictures of me"-stories in the comments :D

Momoko-chan

Wow! 2 weeks without a blogpost and now I'm only writing this on my phone while I'm on the train.

I felt so much like Momoko (from the movie "Kamikaze Girls") today. Let me show you why:

Do you see what I mean? That's the train station where I was waiting for the train. I kid you not. It's ridiculously small and unimportant ^-^

Not living in Vienna can be quite lonely but like Momoko I try to make the best of it :D The internet connects us all in the end.

I will try to blog more often but living in this super boring small town, nothing that I do seems blog-worthy ;) Also... I'm super messy and most of the time I can't take pictures in my room without showcasing the mess that needs to be cleaned up XD

Have a nice week!

Crazy Lenses!

Hello Ladies!

This Saturday is the next "Schwarzer Reigen" gothic prom and about a week ago it came to me that I need white lenses for my outfit ^^ At first I didn't take it too serious, it was just one of those ideas that spin around my head, in the middle of the night when I'm watching documentaries to pass the time XD

But the next day the idea was still there, I did some research and actually found an Austrian site that sells all kind of lenses, among others white lenses:

This are the ColourVUE Crazy Lense in "WhiteOut". They are not "dioptric adjusted". So if you usually wear glasses, the lenses won't help you see. Also, you shouldn't drive your car when you are wearing them. Well, I "see" why they put that on the package but I don't think it's a problem. Your vision gets a little blurry on the outside but it's not too bad.

Already ordering a pair of lenses I decided another one wouldn't hurt and I wanted circle lenses for quite a while now. This are the ColourVUE Big Eyes in "Dolly Black". They do come "dioptric adjusted" up to -8.00. That's pretty good I think.

I never wore lenses in my life before and since I ordered the lenses online, there was no one that could give me a lesson on how to put in lenses. That's why I looked at tutorials on youtube. There are some really good tutorials from professionals, who know what they are talking about. It's actually not that difficult to put them it, you just have to get over the fact that you put something in your eye. My eyelids were uncontrollably twitching. It was really bad but it worked out in the end.

The lenses are uncomfortable in the beginning, it feels like there is something in your eye (duh... because there is something in your eye) but you get over it quite fast once you got used to wearing lenses. From time to time it feels like the lenses are about to pop out of my eye but they are not. I even had a hard time getting them out. Maybe I'm paranoid but my eyes feel a little dry and I'm constantly using eye drops. If you are wearing lenses, tell me if you feel the same and if that is normal.

If you want to order circle lenses I highly recommend you to get the ColourVUE Big Eyes. You only have one pair of eyes and you need to take care of them. Ordering and wearing cheep lenses from Korea or China can harm your eyes. I don't want that happening to you!

Do you wear lenses, especially circle lenses? Do you like the way they make you look? I'm not sure if I like the circle lenses. They creep my out ^^ I rather wear the WhiteOuts than the Dolly Blacks!

My pink parasol

Today I had to pick up my little brother from school.

Normally he would go home alone but because his class was on a field trip and he probably really tired afterwards, my mom wanted me to pick him up. I can't tell you how much I didn't want to go outside ^^ it's a 15 minute walk to my brothers school, with no shadows and hardly any refreshing, cool breezes. But he is my little brother and he likes it when he doesn't have to go home alone.

So I decided to suck it up and deal with the heat when suddenly an idea hit me. I can totally wear out my parasol! That's what it is made for anyway but funnily enough I felt stupid wearing my pink umbrella with jeans and T-Shirt. Also the jeans were tweaking my belly and felt really uncomfortable today. A pink dress on the other hand would match the umbrella, was light and airy and wouldn't pinch my belly... :D

Pink dress it was!

Dress: Angelic Pretty
Parasol: Baby, the Stars shine bright
Shoes: Palladium

Point of fashion: wear something matching to my pink parasol, that doesn't twitch my belly.

Btw, Palladium makes the shoes for the French Foreign Legion and those flats are the most comfortable flats I have ever worn in my live! They are pricey but worth every cent.

I feel a little ridiculous that I changed into the dress only so it would match the parasol. I took it off as soon as the picture was done and I was at home again. What do you think about it? ^^

Head Band Idea Gone Wrong XD

Hello!

I think I mentioned before, that I have a hard time sleeping but I'm not sure. Anyhow, I have a hard time sleeping. Well, that's not true ^^ it's just that I can't fall asleep and don't stay asleep very long XD

But I don't mind it too much (though I like to whine about it from time to time :P) because not getting enough sleep makes me really creative. Most of it is rubbish and not usable, some of it is quite good and I can actually make something of it and then there is a small percentage, that looks amazing in my head and turns out so so bad! Long story short, that happened last night:

Excuse the mess in the background. Work sometimes gets messy. But look at that ridiculousness! What on earth was I thinking? Cat skulls with giant patent leather bows on them on a headband... What? Really? I don't even... And to top it of, this insanity took me 3 hours to make.

Now it's standing on my desk and every time I look at it all I can do is giggle. It's hideous and absurd and preposterous. I mean, look at it! It's laughable ^^

At 2am I thought it would look really cute with a gothic Lolita outfit but I guess my brain was not functioning right at that time. Maybe if the bows weren't that enormous...

Have a nice Sunday!

Hairy Problems

Hello Ladies!

Since January I've been thinking about what I want to do with my hair. In my blog entry "I WANT I WANT I WANT" I wrote about all the different colours I had and what I want and what wasn't possible because of the black in my hair -.- Yesterday I finally decided that I need to change something.

In the last 3 month I used a special cleansing shampoo that helped with getting rid of the red. It was slowly fading into a copper brown but the black stayed black. Yesterday I bleached the black part of my hair 3 times, 20 minutes each, and the black was still pretty much black. I felt like crying. I did not know what to do with it because if an hour of bleach doesn't get rid of the black, what would?

Angry and out of options I slapped the brown colour on my patchy bleached yellow hair and half an hour later I was a Ginger...

Now how the hell did that happen? The colour is far from "hazelnut brown" which it should have been. It's copper. I'm a Ginger and I hate it! In my opinion I look like a pig :(

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the colour because I hate Gingers. Well, I do like to tell mean Ginger jokes (which doesn't hurt them because they have no soul anyways) but only because of pure jealousy ^^ Gingers are one of the most beautiful creatures on the planet and I simply can't pull off that particular hair colour. It makes me look very pink and piglet like. It does NOT work for me -.-
Before I can dye my hair again, I need to wait until my scalp calms down. The brown hair dye hurt like a mothereffer.

Any hair trouble going on with you? Tell me in the comments below.

My Inspiration

ATTENTION! If you are easily grossed out or if you are a sensitive person, you might not want to read this blog entry! You have been warned. Yes, I'm serious about that. I really really mean it!

If you are a regular reader of mine, you saw the paragraph  above once before and I could have written something else but, let's be honest, I'm lazy XD

Today I had something very special in the mail. I ordered it about 3 or 4 weeks ago, it took 2 weeks to make and around 10 days to finally get to me and I'm so happy about it.

Meet my inspiration:

This are 3 cats and 2 doves, they are made out of resin, so they are not real. I think they are adorable and cute. For quite some time now, I had this very strange fascination for bones and organs. It started with my fake human heart (I would love to own a real one) and since then all this morbid stuff really inspired me.

Yes this is weird and I feel strange to admit it but that's how it is ^^ I'm really looking forward to work with it.

Oh lazyness...

I am currently lying in bed, with a headache and a weak stomach, because yesterday I went out to celebrate my not-birthday and I was stupid enough to drink 4 cocktails and 1 long drink in 2 hours ^^ Drink responsibly, kids. Don't be stupid like I am! That amount of alcohol in that amount of time is just ridiculous and with 23 I should know better but apparently I don't... (btw, I regret NOTHING XD)

What was it I wanted to write about...? Oh yes! I celebrated my not-birthday (my birthday was a month ago but somehow it took that long to find a date that was a fit for most of my friends and since my birthday was so long ago I didn't want to call it a birthday party) and I had the biggest trouble to find an outfit. As always. I had an outfit in my head but unfortunately the dress to that outfit is still a piece of fabric ^^

In January I ordered a pair of socks and some fabric to match the socks but then the fabric order was delayed and I didn't get it until the beginning of April. When I finally got the fabric it turned out that the fabric didn't match the socks at all.

It doesn't look that horrible in the picture but the colours really don't match. The white stripes in the socks are grey-ish and it just doesn't work, which angers me because I want it to work. The outfit I imagine looks sooo sweet!

The socks still have the tag on and the little clip that keeps the toe part together. I didn't even try them on yet :/ There is nothing in my closet that would work with those socks but I don't want to give them away because after all I'm hoping it looks good in the end...

Being the realistic optimist that I am (<== which means I'm a pessimist but it sounds less negative), I don't want to start sewing the dress because it would disappoint me so hard if it turns out the way I think it will turn out, miserably looking and mismatched :/

And also... my room is messy and before I could start sewing I would have to clean it. I really don't want to do that ^^

So tell me, how do you react to outfits that don't turn out the way you want them to? Do you get annoyed and angry like me? Or do you shrug it off?

Sometimes you just need to shut the ef up!

Hello Ladies! Long time no read.

Some days ago I got into a stupid argument with a girl on youtube. Youtube is actually my favourite thing to waste my time with and I watch videos about everything! The videos I watch mostly are about fashion, make-up, cooking or they are comedic web series but I also like to watch this one awesome guy that makes video game props, like full Skyrim armours and Zelda shields (He also has videos on how to forge reals swords! Real swords! With metal and fire and holy crap!).

However, there is that one girl who does make-up tutorial and such. She is cute and I enjoyed watching her (not for the tutorial really, mostly because of her look and her voice). Last week she up loaded a fashion video and I saw what styles she tried to show her viewers but, to be quite frank, she failed. I have no idea what came over me but I decided to write her a message, telling her that she should maybe stick with the make-up because the fashion thing was not her thing. I tried to make it as positive as possible, I used the word "sorry" a lot and I really didn't mean to offend her, I just wanted to give her some feedback but of course she got offended.

She got offended, told me that I was rude and that she wouldn't dress like me but she also would never tell me that I dress poorly, she would just "chalk it up to different styles." Now... that pissed me off. I know, I started it by giving her a not 100% positive feedback but what she said hit a nerve.

That's the outfit I wore in the video she saw. It's a well co-ordinated outfit. The colours are balanced out and, in my opinion, it effing suits me!

The thing is, people look at us Lolitas and only see oddly dressed girls, with weird dresses but to be a good Lolita, you have to have a great fashion sense. The saying: "Brand only doesn't make a good Lolita", is 100% true. You need to know how to put the pieces together. We don't "dress poorly" because we have no fashion sense. It's the people who only see "not normal", "not according to the run-of-the-mill fashion rules".

Well, at that point I decided that I was stupid to think that she would accept my feedback and that it would have been better to just "STFU"!

To bo or not to be...

ATTENTION! If you are easily grossed out or if you are a sensitive person, you might not want to read this blog entry! You have been warned. Yes, I'm serious about that. I really really mean it!

So, moving on.

Hello Ladies ^^

You probably know that I'm in love with my Lolita community because we have very nice, caring people and almost no drama :D Another thing would be that, for birthdays, we manage to mobilize quite a big amount of money. It's not unusual for our community to pool money and buy the birthday kid a dress from Closet Child or something similar expensive.

Long story short: We give awesome presents! And yesterday I got my very amazing present.

It's a cat skull. Yes. A cat skull. I wanted one for quite some time now because I think they are amazing and beautiful and very inspirational for me. It's so pretty *____*

The skull, I don't know if it is female or male, still needs a name. Edward sounds nice, I really love that name but Stephenie Meyer ruined that for me, you know, with all the sparkling and such. Maybe I call him Abraham, since I'm obsessed with the book "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter".

What would you call your cat skull? XD Tell me in the comments below!

How to twinklify

Hello Ladies!

So, yesterday I told you about my addiction to rhinestones and today I want to tell you how I did my glasses.

At the Emilie Autumn concert a girl said to me that she didn't recognize me because I wasn't wearing my heart shaped glasses. I think it's cool that the glasses kind of became my thing and that people connect them to me. That's something I really like ^^

The glasses I wear in the picture above are sunglasses and I removed the glass because I never wore those as sunglasses. I didn't have enough red rhinestones to cover the entire frame so I ended up using little black plastic bows, which are usually used for nail art.

If you want glasses that look more like real glasses, you can get them online (ebay or amazon) or at H&M in the mens department. That's where I got mine but they were a bit pricey.

You will need:
- 1 pair of glasses (duh...)
- about 200 to 300 rhinestones (3mm in diameter)
- rhinestone glue (You get that on amazon too if you can't find it at your local craft store. The "E6000" glue works really well. I wouldn't recommend superglue tough)
- something to pick up the rhinestones (tweezers work but I prefer a nail art dotting tool, I talk about that later)
- and about 1 hour to twinklify :D

To pick up the rhinestones I use a nail art dotting tool. Mine is from essence and I got it for maybe 2€.  I cover the tip with kneadable eraser because the eraser is sticky, so it picks up the rhinestones, but it's not too sticky that it wouldn't let go of the rhinestone (Patafix works too). You don't have to use a dotting tool, you could use a pencil, a brush, a knitting needle, etc.

There is really no right or wrong way to glue on the stones but I have some useful tips for you: If you want plastic parts on your glasses, like the little bows I used, glue them on first and work your way around them with the rhinestones. Don't cover the entire frame with glue at once, it will dry before you can place all the stones. Place the stones so they don't go over the edge into the your field of vision. It's really annoying if you have something sparkly distracting you. Leave out the temple stem and the nose pad, your hair will get caught in the stones on the temple and rhinestones on the nose pad would be really uncomfortable. That's about it!

About the rhinestones: I find the ones with 3mm in diameter work best, the have the perfect size. The backs have to be flat, otherwise you can't glue them on (duh... again ^^). I ordered my rhinestones and pearls from Fullmoon. You get 400 piece for 1$, which is a real good deal. She also has cabochons for nail art or deco projects. However, Sophie&Toffee has a greater colour range. It's also a bit more pricey.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I hope you have fun twinklifying your glasses!

I'm an addict

I'm an addict. I twinklify ALL THE THINGS! ^^

Two weeks ago I ordered a bunch of rhinestones and some flat back pearls. Now I can't stop gluing them on to every possible thing that I can grab ^^ I even pealed off the rhinestones from my iPod to redo the design. If I could twinklify my bloomers, I would do so!

My friend said, I'm not allowed to do his iPad. I think that's really unfair... of course I would do a manly design and don't use pink!
Dang it, I just sew a pencil that would look awesome with some rhinestones on it...
